20 members from 14 countries met in Catalonia for the 6th Public Relations and Media Master Class JCI has a new network of European communicators. From the 10th to the 13th of February, 20 young active citizens from 14 National organizations met in Sitges (20 km far from Barcelona) in order to attend at the 6th Public Relations and Media Master Class. The PRMMC is an official JCI training course since 2006 and it is organized at the beginning of each year, attracting media offices or people responsible from all over the world, in order to train them how to organize and develop their media plan over the year, achieving the maximum benefits and exposure for the National organizations activities and JCI in general. After five editions organized successfully by JCI Greece, this year the meeting was organized for the first time by JCI Catalonia. The 2010 Head Trainer was once again Anders Tunold-Hansen from Norway, together with JCI Vice President Chiara Milani from Italy and with the assistance of Lorena Tella and Rafaela Almeida from Barcelona and the contribution of the JCI UN Commissioner Rami Majzoub from Lebanon. For four days participants worked hard and learnt what is a brand, how to write a press release, how to manage crises, how to stay in front of the camera during tv interviews and how to organize a press conference. According to that, they were divided in different groups and prepared press kits about three different topics: 2010 European Conference in Aarhus (Denmark), JCI Movement to Madrid and the JCI Nothing but nets campaign. At the end of the Master Class, even JCI President Roland Kwemain went in Sitges to take part at the Closing Ceremony in order to congratulate with PRMMC participants, to give them certificates and to encourage them to "spread JCI good news all over Europe". So, the new group of European communicators experienced three and a half days of intensive, practical and fun training.
